www.yubahighlands.org has been the leader in providing information to the community about the Yuba Highlands project since 2003.

When I lived in the Camp Far West area of Yuba County, I became intimately aware of the development pressures, the legacy of unexploded WWII ordnance that remains in the area, and the environmental and quality of life issues associated with placing a large development outside of existing infrastructure.

In a casual alliance with other individuals who opposed the project, I reserved this domain name and handed the web site development over to others.  In 2007 I took over the webmaster duties for this site and maintain it without influence from any person or group who has an opinion one way or the other.

The content of this site may appear to be unbalanced.  But the truth is, the opposition has had a louder voice and consistently produces materials with facts and figures supporting their position.  As proponents of the project come up with information you can use to make up your own mind, it will be posted here.

As the Feb 5 referendum approaches, I sincerely hope this site provides Yuba County voters with easily accessible information so that they can cast their votes with the confidence that they have researched the issues thoroughly and are making an informed decision.

As I am solely responsible for content on this site, I remain publicly neutral and will consider materials submitted to me for inclusion here, but reserve the right not to post any submissions.

The newspaper, community meetings, and neighborly discussions are my chosen venues for public discourse.  This site will refer to published accounts of these venues but will not publish individual opinions.

- The material should not substantially repeat other information sources already contained here

This is a personal project and is not underwritten or otherwise financially supported by anyone but me.  Any updates or maintenance are done on my personal timetable, my first priorities being work and family.
